White House Denounces 'Democratic Hoax' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photographs Disclosed
Democratic lawmakers have released a additional set of what they labeled "alarming" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—combined with another 70 unveiled later on Friday constitute a small number of the nearly 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by apparent suicide in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking charges.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Featured among the high-profile individuals shown in the first release are public figures including movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are obscured.
White House Reaction
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the images for partisan aims and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative remarked, asserting that "the current government has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding disclosure, making public reams of records, and calling for further investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Panel Member Remarks
The photos were released without context, but per a California Democrat and ranking member of the investigative panel, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's connections to wealthy individuals.
"The moment has come to halt this White House obfuscation and secure justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he said in a statement.
The release of these materials coincides with the oversight committee continuing its probe into the affair.
