Cameron Norrie achieved the most important success of his career by rallying from a early deficit to overcome top-ranked player Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the early stage of the Paris Masters.

Even though he had before defeated Alcaraz on two prior meetings, this win represents Norrie's maiden success over a sitting world No 1.

Norrie, ranked No 31, also halted Alcaraz's dominant run of nine finals in a row and 17 successive Masters 1000 successes, which was the top run of outcomes in the young champion's developing career.
