Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Launches Very Soon as a Free-to-Play Offering
After months of rumors, the battle royale game type for BF6 is at last releasing. The latest rumors suggesting its debut would coincide with the first season were spot-on. Players can dive into the action starting very soon.
Season 1 Adding a Fresh Location, Style, and Arsenal
In tandem with the battle royale release, the new season is also kicking off. It introduces a new map, a fresh game type, and an expanded arsenal. What's more, this new sector is being introduced. An embedded trailer will become available at release, offering players a glimpse of what's to come.
Free-to-Play Structure Enables Battle Royale Accessible to All
Maybe the most significant announcement is that Battlefield Redsec will be F2P. Much like established offerings, you don't have to buy the original Battlefield 6 to join in. Some gamers have already tried early versions of the game type. Those tests were conducted in a testing environment, which the studio described as their biggest fan involvement initiative.
The adrenaline rush while fighting another squad is unmatched in different last-man-standing mode. It's like a true survival situation, and you genuinely worry if you live or perish.
Despite being a critic earlier, I'm fully a fan of the BR mode after playing it.
These first feedback from testers have been very positive. Of course, the gameplay may have evolved over the last few weeks in terms of tuning and pace. But, early signs are strong that this new mode could be a genuine alternative to popular titles. Many are hoping that the most effective firearms from the original Battlefield 6 will also apply in the BR.
